Project/Program Purpose:

In 2009, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bloomingon started an official gardening progam at Camp Rock on Lake Lemon. Through this outdoor camp experience, children learn teamwork and group process, take social risks, learn about their environment, try new things and interact with consistent adult role models. The Camp Rock Garden is an annual program for campers.

The Archer Foundation has supported Camp Rock with annual grants for three years.  This year's grant will enable the program to purchase a rototiller, eliminating the expense of renting the equipment.
