Activewear: Flex Bands
Flex bands are versatile exercise devices that offer a number of advantages. They can either be used in place of other exercise machines or with other equipment to enhance their effectiveness. You can get a lot of benefit from what are basically just oversized versions of the elastic bands you used to shoot across the classroom when you thought the teacher wasnt looking.
Flex Bands Offer Plenty of Workout Options
These bands can be used entirely on their own for stretching and strength training. By simply standing on the inside of the loop, you have a device capable of providing resistance for everything from bicep curls and upright rows to squats. You can even wrap them around your back to add resistance to push-ups.
Flex bands can also be used with barbells to help with weak spots in a lifters technique. Because the resistance increases as the band is stretched, the bands make the top of the lift more challenging. This can help a lifter develop power throughout a lift, which is very important for the bench press and other exercises.
In addition offering multiple uses, these bands are portable, safe to use and quiet. This makes them ideal as a convenient take-along exercise alternative when traveling. Just toss a couple of different sizes of flex bands into your suitcase and take them along. If youre staying at a hotel that lacks its own fitness facility, you can perform a complete workout in the comfort of your room.
